Today’s Guest: Adam Doran

In 2011, after nearly a decade as a police officer, Adam realized he would not achieve his financial goals unless he made some changes.  He attended a seminar in Kansas City and decided real estate was the best solution for building wealth.  He founded his business, Make it Move! Properties, then spent lots of time and money traveling the Country, attending seminars, building a network, and receiving one-on-one coaching to learn the ins and outs of REI.  He gained education and experience in bird-dogging, wholesaling, assignments, tax liens/deeds, and buy-and-hold investing with creative financing.

Adam wants to encourage you that you should never give up–his first three deals failed to close.  In early 2012, he closed his first successful deal, connecting a buyer and seller on a property in Pennsylvania, without ever leaving the home office.  Soon after, he closed a similar deal in North Carolina, again without leaving home.  More deals followed, and Adam’s company acquired their first buy-and-hold property with no money of their own, using a combination of private money andcredit cards. They purchased and rehabbed a distressed REO, creating a passive income stream of more than $4,000/year with $0 out-of-pocket.  They continue building their portfolio of cashflow properties, utilizing little to no-money-down strategies and creative financing.  To date, Adam has done numerous deals in multiple states, including: Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Adam believes it’s important to develop solid business relationships through trust and an attitude of giving.  He enjoys networking, and sharing his knowledge, experience, and police stories with other investors.  His company, Make it Move!
